Matt Blease Design Classics Illustrations for The Conran Shop

I love these Matt Blease illustrations celebrating iconic furniture designs for The Conran Shop in London. I think my favourite is probably the Noguchi coffee table illustration, but that might just be because I’ve always wanted one and there’s a book in it! (Although I wouldn’t mind an Eames lounge chair either! That illustration also features a book funnily enough!).

Terence Conran: The Way We Live Now

The Guardian architecture and design critic Jonathan Glancey talks to 80-year-old design doyen and entrepreneur Terence Conran about his work and a new exhibition at the Design Museum celebrating his contribution to British design:

Interestingly, Habitat, the store Conran opened in 1964, was inspired by the books of Elizabeth David. Growing up in England, both David’s cookbooks and Habitat furniture were a constant presence in our house.
