The Expensive Notebook Company

I know it’s the second Tom Gauld cartoon I’ve posted today, but this one for The New Yorker is magnificent:

  1. Whoa! Just add to that: “In the farthest corners of Eastern Europe” and you describe our activities spot on. We literally acquire tons of discarded books from libraries and turn them into new blank notebooks. Will have to see about the “complex machine”, though, for the time being we have some amazing sets of hands doing the not-really-patented process.

What the cartoon does not mention is that the little we earn feeds back to support our main mission, namely the running of a museum dedicated to the art letterpress.

Do check out our “expensive notebooks” ;)
