I’d like go read a transcripts of this wee “story”. Any idea where it might be found?

Hi Carole. I believe it is based on a classic Kiwi novel ‘Going West’ by Maurice Gee. A Faber & Faber edition is available from The Book Depository (and probably elsewhere too). I hope this helps.
